A André Art Gallery proudly opens today, June 21st, the exhibition Abstraction in Frictioncurated by Mario Gioia. With 28 artists and about 50 works, the exhibition brings works of different concepts, generations, scales and propositions of abstraction in Brazil.With opening cocktail reception at 19:00, you are more than welcome to this new meeting. The exhibition features 28 artists and about 50 works of different concepts, generations, scales and propositions of abstraction in Brazil. Among the artists are Arcangelo Ianelli, Bruno Giorgi, Diana Motta, Eduardo Sued, Emanoel Araujo, Kika Goldstein, Julia Pereira e Gabriel Nehemyamong others. The André Art Gallery itself has already exhibited in its rooms some productions by these artists. "It is notable in the gallery's trajectory the close relationship with Japanese-Brazilians, such as Manabu Mabe Manabu Mabe, Tikashi Fukushima, Kenji Fukuda, Kazuo Wakabayashi e Yutaka Toyotaamong others," says curator Mario Gioia.
