ARTEFASAM GALLERY PRESENTS: "THE SIZE OF BREATH
Gabriela Sacchetto's solo exhibition opens on 11th June
The ArteFASAM Gallery opens the solo exhibition "Do tamanho da respiração", by artist Gabriela Sacchetto, in its gallery, in Belo Horizonte. The show, which has text by Bruna Costa, takes place between June 11 and July 30.
Small and remarkable, full of small and large details, the works make an analogy to the size of a breath, as variable as the dimensions of his works, in height, width and depth. They are oil paintings on wood, which highlight his presence in the space with their unique characteristics and striking personality.
In her paintings, Gabriela Sacchetto uses as support wood scraps collected, found and donated that would often be used in construction. The pieces of wood bring, in their cut, shape and size, the memory of what they were, as stops, skirting boards, roofs and floors, or the fate they would have.
