Bettina Vaz Guimaraes

Lives and works between São Paulo and Lisbon.
Graduated in 1982 from the Faculdade de Artes Plásticas da FAAP in Visual Communication. Had guidance with the artists Paulo Whitaker and since 2005 participates in the Group Atelie Fidalga with the participation of Sandra Cinto and Albano Afonso,

Taught workshops in 2012 and 2015 "Intercambio de Poéticas Contemporâneas" - project Oficinas de Arte Visuais da Funarte in Capivari and "Afinal, o que é contemporâneo na Arte? - An introduction to the visual arts of our time" in Florianópolis.
From 2014 to 2017 he did a residency at the collective studio CA in the Lower East Side.
He did a residency in 2016 and 2017 at Hangar Centro de Investigação Artística in Lisbon.

The production is focused on painting, drawing, installations and site specific. The research he has been developing is about colour, tonalities and collage.
