Claudio Caropreso
Cláudio Caropreso, 1975, graduated in Architecture and Urbanism in 2000 from the Universidade do Vale do Paraíba. In the same year he starts his research with woodcut at Ateliê Livre de Gravura at Fundação Cultural Cassiano Ricardo, in São José dos Campos - SP. In 2006, Cláudio Caropreso makes the artist book "Clandestino", with Francisco Maringelli, work that today belongs to the collection of the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo. In 2007 he concluded the specialization in Art, Education and Contemporary Technologies at the University of Brasilia. In 2008, also with Francisco Maringelli, is contemplated by PROAC and mounts the exhibition "Between the Razor's Edge and the Half Edge of the Sidewalk. In 2011 curated by Luis Armando Bagolin, at Gravura Brasileira Gallery, makes the individual exhibition "Caropreso Procura-se". In 2016 curated by Luis Armando Bagolin and in partnership with Francisco Maringelli, in the Hemeroteca of the Mário de Andrade Library, makes the show "Gravura na Ponta da Faca" . Today the artist is represented by Gravura Brasileira gallery.
