Francisco Maringelli
Engraver, wood engraver, teacher.
Francisco José Maringelli attended the free course in the painting and engraving studio at the Lasar Segall Museum between 1980 and 1981. He graduated from the School of Communications and Arts (ECA/USP) in 1984 and from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism FAU/USP in 1989, both from the University of São Paulo. Taught engraving workshops at the Curitiba Print Museum in 1985 and at the Oswald de Andrade Cultural Workshop in São Paulo in 1989 and 1996. Participates in the project Oficinas Culturais de Bairros between 1990 and 1991. In 1994, he received a Vitae Grant to develop the project Large Formats in Relief Engraving. From 1995 to 1999, teaches painting and drawing courses at Fundação Cultural Cassiano Ricardo, in São José dos Campos. Took a course in relief engraving at the Centro Universitário Maria Antônia/USP (Ceuma), in 1999-2000.
