Georgia Kyriakakis has a degree in Fine Arts from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado, master and doctorate in Arts from the University of São Paulo. She has been teaching since 1997 at the School of Visual Arts of FAAP and at the Centro Universitário Belas Artes, where she also teaches post-graduation courses. She exhibits regularly since 1986, in group and individual exhibitions, having received several awards since then. Among them stand out: Funarte Contemporary Art Award (2012); Bolsa Vitae de Artes (2002); "The Research Artist" Award from the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum (2001); Brasília Fine Arts Award (1992), among others.

Among the most representative exhibitions are: "Experimenting Spaces", at Museu da Casa Brasileira (2014); "Meridianas", at Funarte (2013); "Picada", at Sesc Pompéia (2012); "Coordenadas", at Espaço ECCO (2011); "Paralela" (2010); "Estética Solidária", at Fundação Abraço (Lisbon, 2009); "Parangolé - Fragmentos desde los 90", at Museo Pateo Herreriano (Spain, 2008); "A Ultima Casa - A Ultima Paisagem", at Matias Brotas (Vitória, 2007); "São Paulo - 450 Years - Paris", at Tomie Ohtake Institute (2004); "Heterodoxia", at Artco Gallery (Lima, 2004); "Caminhos do Contemporâneo", at Paço Imperial (2001); "Arte-cidade III" (São Paulo, 1997); the exhibitions "Beelden uit Brazilie", at the Stedelijk Museum in Schiedam, and "De Huit Van Witte Dame", (both in Holland, 1996); 23a Bienal Internacional de São Paulo (1996); "Espelhos e Sombras", MAM/SP (1994) and CCBB/RJ (1995), among others.
