Ursula Tautz

Ursula Tautz was born in Rio de Janeiro, where she lives and works. She uses photography, video, objects and installations in her work.

The work of the artist Ursula Tautz presents issues related to memory and belonging linked to time, history and place. There is in her research a search for references of belonging and for affective memory, considered a place frozen in time. The world is seen by her from the reflection on human relations contextualized in a spatiality that goes beyond the physical dimension and also encompasses the historical and affective dimensions. In this solo exhibition, the artist presents her most recent research and proposes reflection on an imagined universe, where elements that remind us of science are mixed with a poetic cartography.
