Luisa Prestes
[Luísa Prestes (Brazil, 1993) is a visual artist, researcher and art educator. She studied at the UFRGS Arts Institute and has participated in residencies, actions, performances and exhibitions in Brazil, the Netherlands and Uruguay. She lives and creates from the notion of making art as the very weaving of existence in the web of life. Her work presents a strong interest in ecological issues and the valorisation of modus vivendi connected to intuitive, natural and ancestral knowledge. Currently, she has dedicated herself more intensively to the language of painting, where she seeks to create symbolic spaces of welcome, healing and respect for subjectivities sensitive to the forces and forms of nature.

Lives and creates grounded by the notion that art is a fundamental layer of our lives. In this sense, regards the artistic process as the very weaving of existence itself. Her artwork displays a strong interest in echocological matters and the valorization of modus vivendi connected to intuitive, natural and ancestral knowledges. Currently she has been dedicating her artwork more intensely to the painting processes, in which pursuits the creation of symbolic spaces of refuge, cure and respect to the subjectivities sensible to nature .
