Alles Blau 8

Series Alles Blau Alles Blau, means "all blue" in the German dialect of immigrants in Brazil. This expression does not exist in the original German used by my late grandmother, Hilga Alma Bock Altermann. She always answered "Alles Blau" whenever she was asked about her emotional and physical state. We choose the words and expressions we want to use and these reflect our way of thinking and interacting with the world, we also choose how to live and deal with the adversities that life imposes. My grandmother preferred to believe that everything was always all was well when she pronounced "Alles Blau", it was her mantra, her it was her mantra, her expression to elevate the soul. In this series the emphasis is on the colour cobalt blue. It occupies the space and and volume in the work, it projects and imposes itself through the support. It connects between the parts, becomes nucleus, becomes immersive space. The lines drawn on the canvas with a golden golden pen assist in this proposition of immersion, as well as the scale and the scale and proportion of the lines in the spaces constructed with the the viewer's gaze within the work.
