Sublime

The work "Sublime" is part of the series "Apparent Insignificances". This work was made during the social distancing imposed by the Covid -19 pandemic and all the images were captured inside my flat in São Paulo. They reflect this period of a contemplative state of mind when time seemed suspended. It is a diary about the isolation lived during those days. Taken by this contemplative state, my gaze reconfigures the sense of the simple, a vague place of silence, a harmonic cadence that registers apparent insignificances. There is an infinite beauty that pulsates in the small details that usually go unnoticed in our daily routines. The images throw us into an ethereal, delicate and melancholic atmosphere.

The print is water-based inkjet with mineral pigment and is limited edition of only 10 units. Each print comes with its Certificate of Authenticity and there is an artist proof for each printed edition.I use Hahnemühle's certified fine art papers of high durability and high print quality from the textured Matte Fine Art line.The works gain even more power when displayed in diptychs.
