Claudia Kayat

Claudia holds a Master of Design (2015), a Bachelor of Design (1987) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, PUC-Rio, and a Specialist in Packaging Engineering (1993) from the Japan Packaging Institute, Tokyo.

With 35 years of professional practice, he has accumulated extensive experience in the areas of Design and Art, with works exhibited, awarded and published both in Brazil and abroad.

Since 2011 to the present date she has been a professor at the Undergraduate Department of Arts and Design of PUC-Rio, guiding and coordinating the final projects of Product Design. She performs extension activities at PUC-Rio, as research projects, development and technological innovation.

The universe of Art and Design has always fascinated the artist, who today works actively in these two fields. Her experience with materials and processes and her curiosity for geometry stimulate diverse experiments with non-orientable objects and sculptures, that is, where it is impossible to determine which is the top and bottom, the inside and outside - the beginning and the end.
