Cleverson Oliveira

 Cleverson Oliveira atua em campos multidisciplinares usando uma linguagem visual que explora os limites da imagem, permeando a experiência do cinema ao desenho. Da produção mais recente, destacam-se os trabalhos de desenho em papel e tela. Usando a simplicidade de materiais como pó de grafite, lápis e marcador permanente, o artista cria um processo de construção de imagem singular.

Demystifying the apparent natural condition of the landscape, the works construct an imaginary space where the artifice of representation becomes the visual field after a complete disfiguration of the representation. Landscapes seem to be defined before us as an inevitability of nature. Constructed for centuries as the equivalent of nature, landscapes assume the most perfect representation of the world.

Cleverson Oliveira was born in Curitiba in 1972, graduated from the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná in 1994. In 1996 he studied Art History at New York University in New York, where he lived from 1996 to 2008. He lives and works in Piraquara, Brazil. He has participated in exhibitions in several locations, including New York, Curitiba, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul and Doha.
