Artist

Ding Musa

He studied Music and Geography at the University of São Paulo and has a degree in Photography from Senac. His work, although centred on photography, also includes video, drawing and installation. From 2002 on, he started to exhibit his work in national and international exhibitions. He participated in the art residencies tactileBOSCH, in Cardiff, Wales, in 2004; Carpe Diem Arte e Pesquisa, in Lisbon, Portugal, in 2012; and C.A.J. Artist In Residence Program, in Tokyo, Japan, in 2015. He taught History of Photography classes at Senac and Sesc Santana, in 2009 and 2010, respectively. He also worked as director of photography for cinema, short films, series and documentaries, recently participating in the feature film "Peace Camp", made in Palestine.

His works are in various museums in Brazil and abroad, including the Museums of Modern Art of Salvador, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Fortaleza (Centro Dragão do Mar), the Museum of Contemporary Art of Goiás, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Paraná, the State Museum of Pará, the Art Salon of Ribeirão Preto and the Municipal Collection at the São Paulo Cultural Centre. Recently, the Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of São Paulo and the Museum of Art of Rio Grande do Sul acquired series of works by the artist. The Raquel Arnaud Gallery has represented the artist since 2014
