Luciana Brito Gallery Luciana Brito Gallery

Luciana Brito Gallery

Created in 1997, Luciana Brito Galeria was one of the protagonists in the consolidation of the Brazilian art market, having been one of the pioneering presences of the country in the most important art fairs. The gallery is nationally and internationally recognized by the quality of the artists it represents, and performs a double work: it both diffuses the Brazilian production globally and divulges in Brazil the work of artists of worldwide relevance. As the Brazilian representative of Alex Katz, Allan McCollum, Anthony McCall, Leandro Erlich, Liliana Porter, and Marina Abramovic, the gallery was responsible for the first solo show of these artists in Brazil. We have also sought to balance the presence of emerging artists with a consistent trajectory (such as Paula Garcia, Pedro Caetano, Rafael Carneiro, Raphael Zarka, and Tiago Tebet) with that of established names in art history, such as, besides the artists already mentioned, Geraldo de Barros and Waldemar Cordeiro - two of the main names in Brazilian concretism, in whose national and international recognition the gallery has played a decisive role. In addition, the gallery plays a central role both in the construction and projection of artists' careers and in the preservation and diffusion of artistic legacies of enormous importance, such as those of Gaspar Gasparian and Thomaz Farkas. Not to mention, of course, the promotion of established and active names such as Bosco Sodi, Caio Reisewitz, Eder Santos, Fabiana de Barros and Michel Favre, Héctor Zamora, João Luiz Musa, Pablo Lobato, Raphael Zarka, Regina Silveira, Rochelle Costi and Tobias Putrih.
