FIRST ARTSAMPA EDITION
In 2022, the calendar of the artistic capital of Latin America will gain a new event that is already born with the credibility of more than 11 years of experience, success and recognition. Counting on the structure and organizing team of ArtRio, the first edition of ArtSampa will be held at OCA, Oscar Niemeyer's project inside Ibirapuera Park, in the middle of Burle Marx's garden and bets on innovative and original projects designed exclusively for the fair.
ARTSAMPA TALKS
The ArtSampa Talks program, similar to ArtRio Talks, will invite curators, artists, collectors and art critics to participate in conversation tables with the public, addressing contemporary themes about arts, curating, collecting and more.
The ArtSampa Talks take place at OCA Ibirapuera's auditorium with simultaneous live broadcast on the big screen at OCA's garden and online at ArtSampa.com.br. Check it out!

"In the folds: presences, racialities & genders in the visual arts" | Curator Raquel Barreto
The importance and relevance of a new generation of indigenous and black visual artists, researchers, critics and curators, who bring to the surface other artistic procedures, epistemologies and practices, from distant origins, is increasingly highlighted. Overshadowed, however, by interdictions and silencing, but which have always found ways to emerge, albeit circumstantially in the folds.
To reflect on these questions, historian and curator Raquel Barreto talks to artists and researchers who investigate, but above all create their own poetics and aesthetics in dialogue with their collectivities.

ARTSAMPA 2022 PROGRAMMES
The 1st edition of ArtSampa bets on innovative and original projects designed exclusively for the fair.
Taking into consideration OCA's architecture, the iconic work of Oscar Niemeyer, the galleries were invited to submit proposals that bet on originality and dialogue with the space. These will be special projects that will compose a challenging new general program that brings together important galleries already established on the national circuit and young galleries, with experimental curatorship conceived exclusively for the fair. The selection process that evaluated the proposals was conducted by the ArtSampa Selection Committee, composed by the gallerists: Antonia Bergamin (ex-Bergamin & Gomide), Filipe Masini and Eduardo Masini (Athena Gallery) and Juliana Cintra (Silvia Cintra + Box 4).
MIRA, a traditional program dedicated to video art, will present a program of emerging and established artists selected by the program's curator. The projections will be held daily in the dome of OCA, with a space on the mezzanine dedicated to the public.
