EXHIBITION INDIVIDUAL EXHIBITION OF CÉLIA BARROS - THE HIDDEN LIFE OF NUDES

Exhibition by Célia Barros, brings together works inédeveloped during the last few years that address the relations between Art and Health and counted on the mentoring of the artist Elisa Castro throughout during the four months of preparationo. A he exhibition "The Hidden Life of the Naked" opens on June 2 at Galeria Poente presents about 70 drawings from the series "Which is the way?", artist's books and the installation "Incontinent". The exhibition's programme also includes a meeting where the processes of creation of the exhibition will be shared, and 3 workshops workshops given by the artist.

A artist investigates the word as gesture that negates the text, contradicting the idea of truth, of document or knowledge. Thus his drawings are also a place of expurgation, a language that is pré-verbal that never finishes being said. The series "Which Way?" Currently counting more than 160 drawings, was started in 2016 after a traumatic moment. In a process that could be called self-therapy he began to draw as a discharge: "Each drawing starts from a confused and internal process and internal process, as an attempt to escape: resisting the mental plot, letting letting evade what imprisons. The installation "Incontinent" invites the visitor to interact with the objects. Visual artist, curator and educator.

Master in Artistic Productions and Research by the Facultat de Belles Arts of the Universitat de Barcelona. Since 2008 I develop exhibition projects exhibitions where I articulate actions of curatorship, expography and mediation in and mediation in contemporary art. Co-creator of the project Pausa Onírica e Latente Incomum where the relations between art and health. I work in the educational Fundação Bienal de São Paulo since 2013. Elisa Castro
Elisa Castro é artist and Master in Contemporary Artistic Languages from UERJ. He has participated in national and international exhibitions and art biennials, such as the 17th. Cerveira Biennial (Portugal), IV International Biennial Bienal Internacional da Bolívia (La Paz), 7 Bienal de Arte do Mercosul: Grito e Escuta (Porto Alegre-BR). His works are in collections such as the Museum of Art of Rio (MAR), Museum of Modern Art (MAM-RJ), Biennial Foundation of Cerveira ( Vila Nova Cerveira- Portugal) and Bispo do Rosá Museumrio Arte Contemporânea (RJ). He conducted workshops at the Escola Livre de Artes do Parque do Museu Bispo do Rosário Museum, from 2008 to 2013. Among the exhibitions he has participated in areo: Not Giving in to Fear (CMAHO, RJ-2018 and Solar da Baronesa, Inverno Cultural, UFSJ -2019).
