We are pleased to announce our next exhibition, Eclipse, a solo show by Feco Hamburger, opening on June 9, 2022. This artist has been represented since 2016, when he held the gallery's inaugural show, entitled Quando Percebi era uma Aurora, curated by Diógenes Moura, and now returns to our new space in Barra Funda under the curatorial eye of Icaro Ferraz Vidal Jr.
Feco Hamburger was born in São Paulo in 1970, where he lives and works. Artist, photographer and teacher, his production tensions photography as a technique and language, creating fields of experience, with flat, three-dimensional works and videoinstallations, making use of various technologies. He studied Physics at Unicamp and Linguistics at USP, education that relates to his research and artistic production, which has a strong dialogue with science, time and human nature.
His work has been exhibited in institutions such as the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, Instituto Moreira Salles, Museu Oscar Niemeyer, in Curitiba, Museu de Arte Moderna and Paço Imperial, both in Rio de Janeiro. He has works in the collection of the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, the Itaú Collection of Brazilian Photography and the National Library of France.
In 2019, he launched the book The Peregrine Falcon, in which text and image intertwine in poetic prose. Affective memories, considerations on photography and comments on scientific facts dialogue with landscapes of the atmosphere, of surfaces and caves. The book was selected for the Zum Festival 2019 exhibition at the Moreira Salles Institute. |
