After 45 years, the art gallery at Candido Mendes Ipanema closes its activities as an institutional gallery with the exhibition Oblique by artist Myriam Glatt, curated by Alexandre Sá.

The show presents 8 large format paintings on canvas, 20 collages in mixed technique forming a single 230x24o cm panel and a hinged floor sculpture of variable dimensions.

"Oblique" is Myriam Glatt's new exhibition presented in the same venue as her last solo show which had to be closed forsanitary reasonsarising from the Covid-19 epidemic. During this period, the artist chose to rethink her ownpoeticsand plunged courageously into the solitude of her production in order to find other languages, relationships and formal dialogues for her work. Exactly for this reason, instead of reopening the same exhibition, she opts to present a differentiated set of unpublished works." Excerpt from the curatorial text
