The exhibition presents around forty works by Sidney Amaral (1973-2017), which move between the languages of drawing, painting and sculpture, revealing to the public the intimacy of the procedures that the artist carries out with ease, great poetic density, and which not infrequently result in works of accurate and sometimes acidic social commentary. Afrodescendant, Sidney Amaral has not been oblivious to the urgent demands of our time, nor has he omitted himself from the problems that more directly affect the "minority majorities" of our country, notably the black men and women who are harassed by historical and structural racism.
