1666 - 16MM INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

18 - 27 NOV

Watch at: https://www.mundoemfoco.org/1666festival/

The 1666 Festival arises from the desire to think about and value the cinematographic productions that use 16mm as the main support for image capture. As in previous years, the festival's programme is based on the tripod of dissemination, training activities and preservation.

With films made from 2018 onwards, the contemporary showcase presents 16 works coming from various countries such as Russia, Japan, Canada, France and also Brazil. In addition, three screenings have been designed by guest curators, namely: India on FilmIndia on Film, curated by the collective Harkat Film Lab, from India; Sad Men, Free Women curated by by Chico Lacerda e Por Many Hands - session Lab's Brazil curated by Azucena Losana. Finally, the exhibitions conclude with the films from the 3rd intervention workshop in s-8 and 16mm film. The festival also includes in its programme two courses, debates and a meeting of laboratories.
