Ana Amelia Genioli

ANA AMELIA GENIOLI's trajectory begins in the early 1990s. Paper and photography are used as support for her complex research that reveals, in her aesthetic universe, themes such as reflection, movement, body, fluidity and transparency. Exemplary of her poetics, the work Código Derramado(2016), captures the fluidity and movement of water on the text of the first law code, enacted in the 1930s, which regulates and categorizes the types of water in Brazilian territory.

At Galeria Eduardo Fernandes she has held solo exhibitions Inventing Bodies in 2009, and Per.médio, Per.tinência, Pe.aíEntre umPasso e Outro, in 2006. Her works have also participated in group exhibitions at the gallery in 2006, 2011 and 2015.

He has exhibited at MASP (SP), Museu de Arte Contemporânea de São Paulo(MAC-USP), MuBE-Museu Brasileiro da Escultura(SP), Paço das Artes (SP), SESC-Paulista, Espaço Cultural Porto Seguro (SP) and Itaú Galeria (SP). In Paris, he exhibits at Galerie Sycomore art. His works are part of the Padre Anchieta Foundation's collection and SESC's collection.

Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism (PUC-USP), she is Master and PhD in Communication and Semiotics from the same university. Published the book Identities, the production of difference in Contemporary Art byIntermeios, in 2014. She complements her education by attending classes at Carlos Fajardo's atelier, with Ana Maria Tavares at the MuBE-SP, and in Art History courses taught by Rodrigo Naves and Ronaldo Brito.
