Paulo Vainer
The photographer and advertising film director is recognised as a multimedia professional. He worked in New York at Steve Bronstein and Andreas Heiniger's studios and, in Brazil, at Editora Abril. In 1990 he opened his own studio, becoming one of Brazil's leading fashion and advertising photographers. In 1991, as director of photography, he worked with some of the most important names in national cinema such as Ricardo Van Steen, Walter Salles, Andrucha Wadingtton and Fernando Meirelles. His first feature film is from 2004, Noel, o Poeta da Vila, nominated for the ABC Award, and four years later, Eu e meu umbuva, by Conspiração Filmes. As scene director, he specialized in beauty, fashion, cars, making films for brands such as Itaú, Volkswagen, Nike, Nestlé and Renault, among others.
