Description
Wood, Ceramics and Neon.
In 1972, in Italy, Peticov began to use the colours of the spectrum in his works as a form of correlation with the creative process.
"Colours are a gift from light for us to understand the universe and the world around us," comments the artist.
The sculpture "Natura" was inspired by a canvas, made a year earlier in 1979, which inaugurated the use of neon lighting in his works.
Seven vases on a shelf spreading intense and mesmerising colours from the centre of the coloured part of each object, when the emitted light produces the spectrum, which can be seen by the human eye, this luminescence is interpreted as colour. Once again, Peticov plays with the viewer using his optical and physical studies.
Reprint of the original work from 1980.
