Caio Siqueira

The artist Caio Siqueira lives and works in São Sebastião, São Paulo coast. He graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo and has a Post-Graduation in Design. As a complementary part of his formation he took several free courses in photography, finding his aptitude.

He aims, through his work with photography, a way to transcend and reach the level of the sublime. As he recalls his training, Caio projects new borderline images between the abstract and the figurative, and constructs them from interventions, compositions and superimpositions through pre-existing forms.

Thus, by constructing unprecedented environments, the artist traces a path for the deconstruction of the spectator's daily thought, already conditioned. He takes philosophy and meditative practices as a source for his balance, which overflows into his works, reconstructing nature in an abstract manner with cut-outs from the landscape, geometric forms from architecture and natural organic forms.
