Carolina Colichio

Carolina Colichio, 1977, was born in Ribeirão Preto, SP. Lives and works in São Paulo.
Bachelor's degree in Social Communication (1999) from Mackenzie University. She attended
the studio of artist Maurício Parra (2017-2019), was awarded a scholarship by the Edital de Espaços
Independentes in the metal engraving course with Ulysses Bôscolo at Atelier
Piratininga (2019) and attended free courses at Sesc Pompéia, MuBE, Museu Lasar
Segall and MAM. Between 2019 and 2021, she attended the free ceramics course by the artist
Brisa Noronha at Hermes Artes Visuais. She is currently part of the Massapê Project,
collective studio run by artists.
Her work transits between painting, sculpture and installation, exploring what is
real and what is not. The forms and images he elaborates refer to a memory,
fruit of the daily exercise of observing the organicity of objects and bodies that
coexists with in his daily life. Among his exhibitions are the solo exhibition Mar
de Ossos (Centro Cultural da Vila, Ilhabela, 2019) and the group exhibition Tudo de novo vira
começo (Edifício Vera, 2021).
