Animation filmmaker, graphic artist.

Italian-Brazilian, born in São Paulo, 1963, he began his career in 1979 making commissioned animated films.

His first experimental short film, Adeus (1988), received many awards and was chosen by the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival (France), in 2004, as one of the most outstanding Brazilian short films of all times.

Céu is passionately involved with environmental causes, portrayed throughout his work. In the 1990s, with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation, he began researching environmental issues, travelling in the wilds of Brazil and living with the native Katukinos and Kalapalos. Her most recent animated short, Love Will Rescue You (2015), is a film about child trafficking. Since August 2015, Céu has been working in New York. Among the collectors who have bought her art are British musician Sting and Canadian philanthropist Jeffrey Bronfman, as well as many other American and German collectors.
